VidGrid Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of VidGrid, a macOS application published by iDO Technologies UAB ("we", "us"), a company registered in Lithuania at V. Nagevičiaus g. 3, Vilnius 08237.
By downloading, installing, or using VidGrid you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.
If you obtained VidGrid from the Mac App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies, and where it conflicts with these Terms on a matter Apple governs — payment, refunds, and Apple's own liability — Apple's terms prevail.
2. The service
VidGrid arranges videos, images, and live web pages in a grid on your Mac so you can compare them and present them to an audience across two windows. It runs locally: your media files stay on your own disk and are read where they are.
VidGrid is a paid application with a free trial. It is not a free service.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use VidGrid. By using it you confirm that you meet this requirement.
VidGrid is rated 18+ on the App Store because a Web Tile can load any web address you type. That rating reflects what the feature makes possible, not the app's own content.
4. No accounts
VidGrid has no accounts, no sign-up, and no password. Your subscription is held by your Apple account.
Because there is no account, you are solely responsible for the media files and text you put into the app, for having the legal right to use the files you open, and for your own backups. Your projects live in a database on your Mac. If you lose that Mac, erase it, or delete the app's data, we cannot recover your work — we never had a copy.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use VidGrid to open, display, or present content that is illegal where you are; to display material that sexually exploits minors; to infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; to load web pages you do not have the right to access; to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to defeat the app's licence checks; or to resell, sublicense, or redistribute the app itself.
VidGrid does not upload, scan, or moderate what you open. What appears in your grid is your responsibility, including anything you show to an audience.
6. Your content
Your files remain entirely yours. VidGrid reads them locally and never copies, uploads, or transmits them. We never receive your media, your file names, your folder paths, your labels, or your project names, so we grant ourselves no licence over them — none is needed, and none is taken.
7. Web Tiles
A Web Tile loads a live web page from an address you enter. That page is fetched by your Mac directly from its own publisher, exactly as a browser would. We do not select, host, endorse, or filter that content, and the page's own terms and privacy policy apply to you when you load it. Any login you complete inside a Web Tile is between you and that site.
8. Subscription, trial, and payment
Trial. VidGrid is free for seven days from first launch, with every feature available. The trial runs once per Apple account and cannot be restarted.
Locked. When the trial ends without a subscription, VidGrid locks: you can still open a project and look at your work, greyed out, but you cannot save, edit, or present. Nothing you made is deleted, and everything returns when you subscribe.
Subscription. VidGrid is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app at the time of purchase.
Payment and renewal are handled entirely by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. We never see or store your card details.
Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in System Settings, then your name, then Media & Purchases, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the paid period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, through reportaproblem.apple.com. If you are an EU consumer you may also have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of purchase; Apple's process is how that is exercised for App Store purchases.
Price changes apply only to future renewals. Apple notifies you and asks for your consent before a higher price takes effect.
9. Third-party services
VidGrid contacts the network in only three situations, and never otherwise: Apple, to sell, renew, and verify your subscription; RevenueCat, to tell the app whether your subscription is active; and Aptabase, to receive anonymous usage counts. Each of their terms applies to that interaction. Loading a Web Tile also contacts whichever site you asked for.
10. Availability
We aim to keep VidGrid working, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, add, or remove features between versions. If we discontinue VidGrid, we will stop charging subscriptions and let existing subscriptions run to the end of their paid period.
11. Intellectual property
We own VidGrid — its name, logo, design, source code, and interface. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it on Macs you own or control, for as long as your subscription is active, as permitted by Apple's Standard EULA. This licence does not let you copy, modify, redistribute, or resell the app.
12. Termination
You may stop using VidGrid at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may terminate your licence if you materially breach these Terms, in particular section 5. Sections 6, 11, 13, 14, 15, and 16 survive termination.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VIDGRID IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
Nothing here limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer, which cannot be excluded by agreement.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or lost work, arising from your use of VidGrid. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for VidGrid in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law permits, and the limitations above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from the content you open or present in VidGrid, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of anyone else's rights.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Lithuania.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts. You may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and where the change is significant we will say so in the app. Your continued use of VidGrid after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
